Stellenbosch Reserve is seeking a well-presented and capable Assistant Manager to join our team. This position is suited to individuals with prior experience in hospitality and a passion for delivering a high standard of guest service.
The successful candidate will support the daily operations of the restaurant and tasting room, working closely with both front-of-house and kitchen teams to ensure seamless service. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure are key.
Minimum Requirements:
- Previous experience in a hospitality environment
- Grade 12 (Matric) – essential
- Relevant tertiary qualification beneficial (e.g. WSET or Cape Wine Academy)
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English
- Must be available to work weekends, public holidays, and selected evenings
- Own reliable transport
- Strong customer service background
- Ability to manage time and pressure effectively
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Manager in overseeing front-of-house operations
- Supervise floor service during restaurant hours and events
- Coordinate communication between front and back of house
- Ensure a consistently high standard of guest experience
