Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced IT Risk Manager to join a prestigious luxury wine estate in Stellenbosch. This role is perfect for someone with strong cyber security expertise who can ensure the estate’s IT systems are secure, resilient, and running at peak performance.

? Main Responsibilities:
?️ Conduct monthly vulnerability scans & resolve issues
? Propose & implement upgrades for vulnerable equipment
☁️ Secure Office 365 Cloud Services against threats
?️ Manage antivirus & cyber security software
? Implement penetration tests & decoy systems
? Set up, monitor & manage SIEM for risk detection
? Configure & maintain firewalls (Checkpoint) & malware protection (ESET)
Maintain servers (VMware), Active Directory 2019, POS (EasiPos), Sage Evolution, biometrics, fibre internet lines & backup Wi-Fi
? Assist Senior IT Systems Administrator
? Liaise with external cyber security providers
? Secondary Duties:
?️ Install, configure & provide technical support
? Monitor systems daily & respond to security concerns
? Create & verify backups (Acronis Cyber Cloud)
Upgrade systems for enhanced functionality & security
?? Set up accounts & workstations for staff
? Troubleshoot system issues & outages
? Manage Wi-Fi connections ensuring 100% uptime (Unifi Controller)
Maintain cloud-based phone system (3CX)
Administer & maintain Office 365 staff accounts
Requirements:
? Relevant tertiary qualification (Cyber Security / Computer Science / Computer Engineering)
? 7–10 years’ experience in Cyber Threat or IT Risk Management (preferred)
? Microsoft certifications
? Knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, VPNs, patch management
Strong expertise with Office 365, Ubiquity APs, HP Aruba Switches & VLAN, Windows 10/11, Server 2019/2022, Active Directory
? Familiarity with fibre connections & network topologies
? Excellent problem-solving skills
? Ability to take ownership & work independently under pressure
? Strong organisational & time management skills
? Excellent communication & interpersonal abilities
