Payroll Officer

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Officer to join a luxury wine estate in Franschhoek. This role is ideal for someone with strong payroll expertise, a good understanding of labour legislation, and a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.

? Salary: R23,500 – R26,500 (Negotiable DOE) | ? Live-Out

? Key Responsibilities:

? Manage the full payroll function for all staff, ensuring timely and accurate salary payments

? Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with tax and labour regulations

Process employee benefits, deductions, and leave

? Reconcile payroll reports and prepare monthly payroll journals

? Liaise with HR and Finance departments on payroll matters

? Ensure confidentiality and security of payroll information

? Prepare annual reports, including IRP5s and other statutory documentation

Requirements:

? Proven experience in payroll, ideally within hospitality or wine industry

? Solid understanding of payroll systems and South African legislation

? Proficient in payroll software (e.g., Sage, Pastel) and MS Excel

? High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Ability to meet deadlines and work independently

? Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills

? Own transport preferred due to live-out nature of the role
