Tasting Room Manager / Supervisor Mellasat Wine & Fruit CC – Paarl

We are looking for a motivated and passionate Tasting Room Manager / Supervisor to join our team at Mellasat Vineyards. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in hospitality, has a strong knowledge of wine, and can confidently lead a team while delivering an outstanding customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the tasting room and ensure a smooth guest experience.
• Lead, train, and supervise staff, ensuring excellent service standards.
• Host and present wine tastings, tours, and events with confidence and professionalism.
• Manage stock control, including daily counts, ordering, and inventory management.
• Handle cash-ups, sales reporting, and administration duties.
• Build and maintain relationships with guests, tour companies, and trade partners.
• Ensure the tasting room, kitchen, and service areas are clean, welcoming, and well-presented.
• Report directly to management with updates on operations, sales, and staffing.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in hospitality, wine, or tasting room management.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Knowledge of wine (formal wine training or WSET an advantage).
• Ability to work weekends and public holidays.
