Upmarket Constantia Wine Estate looking for seasonal wine stewards

Constantia Glen, a renowned wine estate in the heart of Cape Town’s Constantia Valley, is seeking dynamic Wine Stewards to join our Tasting room/restaurant team. If you have a passion for wine, hospitality and attention to detail, we want to hear from you!

Job description and responsibilities

• Capable of working under pressure
• Managing tables wine/ beverage and food orders
• Opening duties including but not limited to Cleaning and setup of tasting room
• Clearing tables, running food orders and maintaining general cleanliness of the tasting room
• General waiter/waitress duties
• Conducting professional and accurate wine tastings
• Wine sales
• Closing duties, cleaning, storing and packing away of items used during the day.

Wine steward applicant requirements

• Own transport essential
• Valid South African ID required
• Police/name clearance not older than 3 months
• SARS tax reference number (printed letterhead from SARS)
• Restaurant/wine tasting room related experience
• Good foundational wine knowledge
• Contactable references
• Available to work weekdays, weekends and evenings as required
• Commitment to be available for the full season, from December to March (5 shifts per week)
