We are looking for a Sous Chef to join our team in our busy kitchen, delivering high-quality food.
Experience: three years plus working in the same or similar position.
Knowledge and Abilities:
- Able to demonstrate good written and verbal communication in English.
- Proficiency with computers and computer programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Good record of kitchen management at a similar establishment
- Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
- Capable of delegating multiple tasks
- Keep up with cooking trends and best practices
- Ability to interact positively with supervisor, management, co-workers, members, and the public to promote a team effort and maintain a positive and professional approach.
- Ability to produce a high volume of work promptly, which is accurate, complete, and of high quality.
- Ability to come to work regularly and on time, follow directions, take criticism, get along with co-workers and supervisors, treat co-workers, supervisors, and members/guests with respect and courtesy, and refrain from abusive, insubordinate, and/or violent behaviour.
- Ability to work long hours, under high pressure, and physically demanding at times.
Please be willing to work a minimum of 2 full trial shifts.
