Jakkalsvlei, outside Mossel Bay, is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic person to join our team for Harvest 2026 (mid-January – end April 2026).
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:

Previous harvest and/or cellar experience will be advantageous.

A B or BSc Agric qualification in Viticulture and Oenology will be in your favour.

Reliable references.
-
Must be willing to work overtime and on weekends when needed.

Ability to work in a team.
-
Must be able to work under pressure.
-
Detail-oriented, reliable, and diligent.
-
Punctual and professional.
-
Own reliable transport will be advantageous.
-
Forklift experience, or a license, will count in your favour.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
-
Assist the winemaking team with day-to-day operational activities in the cellar.

General cellar equipment sanitation and cellar hygiene.

Additions and monitoring of fermentations.

Willingness to take on a wide range of diverse tasks.

Management of the wine store.
-
Loading and offloading trucks with a forklift.
-
Record keeping.
-
Taking sugar samples in the vineyard.
In return, Jakkalsvlei offers a competitive salary, as well as accommodation on the farm during harvest (until end of April). There may be a possibility of a permanent position after harvest.
