Haute Cabrière has three vacancies for Runners for the restaurant for the upcoming season, on a 6-month Fixed Term Contract basis.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Physical stamina - ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays of food and drinks
- Have strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and guests
- Be able to manage multiple tasks and orders simultaneously
- Be capable of performing calmly in a fast-paced high stress environment
- Have an understanding of menu items , their ingredients and how they should be presented
- Be a team player able to work harmoniously with kitchen staff, servers and management
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Quickly and accurately deliver completed food and beverage orders from the kitchen to the correct guest tables
- Inspect each order to ensure it matches the order and is presented correctly
- Serve as a vital link relaying messages between kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service
- Clear tables of used dishes, utensils and glasses then efficiently reset them with clean place settings for new customers
- Provide support to servers by helping with tasks such as polishing silverware, restocking service stations and assisting with side work
- Maintain a clean and organised dining area adhering to all sanitation and health regulations
