Accommodation Supervisor

Opstal Stay, the accommodation division of Opstal Wine Estate in the scenic Slanghoek Valley near Rawsonville, is looking for a dedicated and guest-focused Accommodation Supervisor. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional with strong organisational and people skills who thrives in delivering memorable guest experiences. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting daily accommodation operations, leading staff, and ensuring that high service standards are consistently maintained.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver superior guest service and ensure an unforgettable stay for all visitors
• Welcome and host guests on arrival
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, and safety standards and regulations
• Handle guest complaints quickly and professionall
• Oversee stock control for inventory and equipment
• Supervise household staff in cleaning units and issuing linens
• Coordinate and supervise activities of the laundry team
• Ensure smooth day-to-day running of accommodation operation
• Perform administrative tasks related to bookings, invoicing, and email correspondence

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience in hospitality or accommodation management
• Leadership and people management skills
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• A warm, professional manner with a passion for guest satisfaction
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
• Fully proficient in Afrikaans and English
• Computer literate, including proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and booking systems
• Valid driver’s licence
