Rijk’s Wine Estate, situated in the Tulbagh Valley, offers the above opportunity for a dynamic and driven individual with an interest in winemaking, that has excellent interpersonal skills (Afrikaans and English), and the ability to take initiative.
The successful candidate will report to the Winemaker and be responsible for (but not limited to): *Providing support and assistance with day-to-day operational activities in the cellar *Support and assist the Winemaker with the winemaking process/production *General cellar and equipment sanitation *Assist with stock control and stock management systems in the warehouse *Assist with completion of export and logistics documentation *Deliveries and collections of goods *All other duties related to the role as requested by management.
Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
- Tertiary qualification in Winemaking/Cellar Technology;
- Relevant experience and knowledge of cellar operations will be advantageous;
- Own reliable transport and drivers license (forklift license will be to the candidate's advantage);
- Willingness to work hours as per wine industry requirements.
Commencement date: 1 November 2025
