Our client, a contemporary restaurant based in the Franschhoek area, is looking for a Pastry Chef de Partie who has a love for creating variations of desserts, pastries and baked goods.
 
This is an opportunity to be part of a world-class team and step into a kitchen of culinary expertise, while focusing on the art of assisting with pastry creation of quality, innovation and effective management of the Pastry Section.

Educational documentation:
  • A minimum Grade 12 or equivalent. 
  • formal culinary qualification
  • Any additional specialized training in pastry arts.
Key responsibilities, not limited to:
  • Executing the preparation and production of various pasty items, ensuring that creation meets the highest standards of taste and presentation.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular taste tests and visual inspections to main the quality and consistency of all pastry items.
  • Menu Development: Collaborating with Senior Pastry Chef to contribute to the development of new pastry recipes and menu items.
  • Inventory Management: Monitoring stock levels of ingredients, assist in the ordering of supplies and ensure that the pastry section is well-stocked and organized.
  • Training & Supervision: Training and supervising junior pastry staff.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Maintaining a clean and organized workspace
