Key Responsibilities:
Greet guests and present menus and wine lists
Demonstrate knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods
Set tables with linens, silverware and glasses to the highest standard
Take accurate food and beverage orders
Ensure timely delivery of orders from kitchen and bar staff
Clear tables efficiently and maintain cleanliness throughout service
Offer desserts, coffee and additional services where appropriate
Prepare and present bills accurately
Maintain high standards of personal hygiene, appearance and uniform presentation
Requirements:
Grade 12 qualification
Preferably 1 year’s previous experience as a waiter/waitress
Experience with cash registers and ordering systems an advantage
Basic mathematics skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong customer service orientation and attentive listening skills
Comfortable engaging with distinguished clientele
Well-presented, flexible, accountable and enthusiastic
Own or reliable transport
Package:
