About the Role
As Production Coordinator, you’ll manage dry goods stock, schedule production activities, oversee procurement, and support logistics—ensuring smooth, cost-effective operations across the production process.
You’ll Work Closely With
A cross-functional team including the Cellar Master, Assistant Winemaker, Bottling Foreman, Logistics Coordinator, Marketing, Sales, Wine Club, and Cellar Door teams, as well as Quality Control, Finance, Drivers, and external suppliers and service providers.

We’re looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with strong planning and problem-solving skills. You should have experience in production coordination, the ability to work independently, and a collaborative mindset. Leading by example, supporting your team, and interpreting operational challenges with confidence are key to success in this role.
Required Qualifications
Candidates should have a Matric (Grade 12) and ideally a tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Production, or a related field. We’re looking for 2–3 years of experience in stock control, logistics, and procurement, along with proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems such as Business Central. Familiarity with WineMS and an understanding of wine production processes will be advantageous
Key Responsibilities
Stock Management
- Implement and maintain a buffer stock system for dry goods with the Bottling Foreman
- Monitor monthly stock levels and assist with the annual dry goods procurement budget
- Review purchase orders and control budget expenditure
- Support policy compliance on waste, stock movement, and internal controls
- Report production losses to Finance and the COO
Production Scheduling
- Plan bottling, labelling, riddling, and disgorgement with the cellar team
- Book disgorgement services in advance
- Prepare and close off production work orders
- Record production runs and allocate costs in Business Central
Procurement
- Ensure timely and cost-effective ordering of dry goods
- Coordinate deliveries and supplier stock holding
- Source and test dry goods for new products with QC and Bottling Foreman
- Manage label orders and artwork approvals
Production Processing
- Provide material pick lists and process production runs in Business Central
- Retrieve and update seal codes from SAWIS
- Reconcile production runs and manage waste and rejects
- Ensure accurate daily transfers and records
Logistics Support (Stand-in Role)
- Understand logistics workflows and assist with receiving, invoicing, and exports
- Support stock counts, reconciliations, and daily delivery scheduling
General Support
- Assist Bottling Foreman and Logistics Coordinator with daily tasks
- Liaise with Cellar, QC, and Marketing for administrative support
Work Hours
Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm on site.
