Our client, a family owned and managed wine business, is seeking to employ an individual to join their close-knit team.
Requirements
- Grade 12 and relevant tertiary qualifications in Sales/ Marketing / Business
- Min 3 years’ proven Sales Manager’s experience
- A passion and deep understanding of the wine industry.
- Proven success as a Trade Sales Manager in the wine industry.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- A strong focus on achieving results and maintaining profit margins.
- A purpose-driven mindset and a desire for continuous improvement.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Willingness to travel as required, both domestically and internationally.
- Valid Passport.
- Own vehicle.

- Manage a diverse FMCG portfolio of fine wines across local and international market.
- Drive growth through structured forecasting, pricing compliance, and consultative selling.
- Negotiate national and regional activations, tastings, and promotional campaigns aligned to brand strategy.
- Plan, execute and oversee the organisation’s wine advertising and promotion activities including public relations, Internet presence, Customer Relationship Management, print, electronic, and direct mail campaigns.
- Perform/oversee the copywriting, design, layout, paste-up, and production of promotional materials and packaging including wine labels. Included the still and video photography required.
- Provide market insights, competitor tracking, and customer analysis to senior leadership.
- Develop strong long-term relationships with premium on-trade and off-trade accounts.
- Manage and upskill a team of representatives, consistently achieving sales and visibility targets.
