We are seeking an experienced and passionate Tasting Room & Wine Club Manager to lead the guest experience and drive direct wine sales at an award-winning Wine Estate. This role combines leadership, hospitality excellence, and data-driven management to ensure that every guest interaction reflects the quality and character of our wines.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in luxury hospitality or wine environments, with hands-on experience in Commerce7, BC, and Tablet POS systems.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the tasting room, ensuring an elevated, seamless, and memorable guest experience.
  • Recruit, train, and motivate a team of hospitality professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Deliver premium, personalized wine tastings and experiences through expert storytelling, product knowledge, and warm hospitality.
  • Oversee the management and growth of the Wine Club, ensuring exceptional member engagement, retention, and sales performance.
  • Collaborate with the Sales, Marketing, and Events teams to support estate promotions, private functions, and targeted sales initiatives.
  • Manage and maintain the accuracy, presentation, and functionality of Commerce7, BC, and Tablet POS systems.
  • Ensure effective stock control, product presentation, and merchandising aligned with brand standards.
  • Manage guest feedback, group bookings, and VIP engagements with professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, visitor data, and team productivity, providing strategic insights and recommendations to leadership.
  • Uphold compliance with health, safety, and service standards across all tasting room operations.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in hospitality, tourism, or wine industry management
  • Strong operational understanding and hands-on experience with Commerce7, BC, and Tablet POS systems.
  • Wine qualifications such as WSET Level 2 or Level 3 (or equivalent) are required.
  • Proven leadership and team development capabilities with a service-driven, hands-on approach.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills with attention to operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • A genuine passion for wine, with a commitment to ongoing education and industry engagement.
  • Professional, well-presented, and confident in high-end guest interactions.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and special events as required.
