About the role
We are looking for a passionate and motivated Junior Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen brigade. This role is ideal for a skilled and ambitious chef ready to take the next step in their culinary career and contribute to delivering an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in daily kitchen operations.
- Supervise and train junior kitchen staff to maintain consistency and high standards.
- Oversee food preparation, presentation, and portion control.
- Ensure compliance with all health, hygiene, and safety regulations.
- Assist in developing new dishes, specials, and menu concepts.
- Maintain proper stock rotation and manage kitchen inventory effectively.
- Uphold quality, timing, and presentation standards in every dish served.
- Step into the Sous Chef role during absences or busy service periods.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a professional kitchen (fine dining or high-volume preferred).
- Relevant Culinary Diploma / Certificate.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, hygiene, and safety procedures.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- A passion for food, creativity, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to perform under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.
