Robertson Winery is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join their team based in Robertson (Western Cape) as Supervisor: Glass to oversee the Glass and Sleeving Production area.

The successful candidate will ensure efficient production line operations, adherence to quality standards, and effective staff management. This role requires a strong leader who can maintain productivity, foster teamwork, and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): *Managing and supervising production processes and employees in the Glass and Sleeving area *Ensuring production lines operate efficiently with minimal downtime *Conducting pre-production checks and approving samples before production *Maintaining quality control standards and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures *Monitoring and reporting deviations in the production plan, machinery breakdowns, and quality concerns *Leading and motivating the production team *Managing staff schedules, absenteeism, and first-line disciplinary matters *Ensuring adherence to health, safety, food safety, and hygiene standards (HACCP) *Maintaining clean and organised production areas and equipment *Driving self-development and participating in relevant training programs.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:

  • Matric;
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in productivity or employee management within a manufacturing or bottling environment;
  • Familiarity with bottling line machinery and processes (e.g., steriliser, filler, capper, blower, labeller, strapper, sleeving machines);
  • Excellent communication skills (Afrikaans & English);
  • Computer literacy (MS Office);
  • Willingness to work night shift and overtime.
