Our client is a farming operation based in the Elgin area, and spesialises in the production of pome fruit and wine grapes.

Our client has a position available for an energetic HR & Compliance Officer to join their team - the successful candidate will be based at the production unit situated on the outskirts of Grabouw.

The incumbent will report to the Managing Director and be responsible for: *Day to day HR operations *Wages and Payroll *Fruit production reconciliation *Orchard database management and analysis *Compliance reporting for SIZA, Global Gap and ESTA *Acting as Personal Assistant to the Managing Director *All other HR & ad-hoc duties related to the role.

Essential minimum qualifications, skills, and experience:

  • A Degree in Human Resources or similar field;
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar position;
  • Labour legislation knowledge with application in the Agricultural industry;
  • Excellent computer literacy (MS Office, Farm Costing Solutions/Crest/Payroll);
  • Fully bilingual (Afrikaans & English), IsiXhosa will be advantageous;
  • Valid driver’s license & own reliable transport.

Commencement date: January 2026
