Tasting Room Servers / Wine Ambassadors
DESCRIPTION
Haute Cabrière has two vacancies for Tasting Room Servers / Wine Ambassadors. for the upcoming season, on a 6-month Fixed Term Contract basis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet visitors enthusiastically and engage them with informative wine tastings, answer questions about the wines and estate confidently
- Handle sales transactions accurately and promote and sell wine bottles, wine clubs and merchandise
- Assist in management of stock, retail items and wines when required
- Assist with packaging and shipping of orders
- When required assist with special events
- Ensure that the tasting room environment is well maintained and tidy at all times
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Uncompromising customer service - provide excellent guest service, to create a memorable experience
- Have a passion for wine and develop good knowledge of the wines and local wine industry to impart to guests
- Be outgoing, friendly and able to build rapport with guests
- Be proficient with POS systems and basic administrative tasks and multitask if required
- Have physical stamina - the ability to stand for extended periods and lift or carry items such as bottles or stock
