Our client, a refined culinary destination located on the southern slopes of the Paarl mountain, is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable sommelier to join their team.

The restaurant offers a menu inspired by the rich and diverse culinary traditions of the mediterranean, with a focus on seasonal, locally sourced ingredients and shared plate dining.

The successful candidate will work closely with the head chef to curate thoughtful wine pairings that elevate the overall guest experience. In addition to managing the wine programme, the role will also require you to support floor service management operations when needed.

 Requirements:

  • certified sommelier advantageous
  • WSET level 2 or higher preferred
  • at least 2 years of experience in a similar role within a fine-dining or wine-focused environment
  • wine passionate
  • exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • passion for storytelling, hospitality, and delivering a memorable guest experience
  • professional, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure
