Warwick Wine Estate is seeking for a Seasonal Receptionist/Host to become part of our dynamic Hospitality team for a fixed-term period. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in sustaining an environment of excellence and ensuring superior customer experience with a primary focus on the welcoming and seating of guests.  

Position Purpose:

The Seasonal Receptionist/Host role is crucial in creating a welcoming and seamless experience for all guests, acting as the first point of contact and embodying the company’s core values of excellence, ambition, boldness, and respect. This role involves managing guest interactions from arrival to departure, ensuring that each guest experience reflects our commitment to high standards and exceptional service.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a customer-facing role, such as a receptionist, host/hostess or customer service representative, preferred.

Skills:

  • Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure.
  • Strong multitasking and organizational abilities with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including empathy and active listening.
  • Customer service-oriented mindset.
  • Physical stamina to stand and move for an entire shift.
  • Flexibility to work every weekend and public holidays.
  • General knowledge of the wine industry will be beneficial.

Responsibilities:

  • Guest Relations:
    • Provide a warm and professional welcome to all guests, ensuring they are promptly greeted, seated, and assisted throughout their visit. Strive to create memorable experiences that align with the company’s service excellence standards.
  • Communication:
    • Respond promptly and professionally to all phone calls, ensuring clear and effective communication with guests and internal teams.
  • Customer Advisory and Support:
    • Assist guests with special requests, addressing their questions or concerns with care and professionalism. Provide knowledgeable recommendations and guidance to enhance their experience.
  • Team Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the Hospitality team to deliver a cohesive and outstanding guest experience, sharing relevant information and supporting team goals.
  • Administration support:
    • Provide general administrative support to the Hospitality Department, including data entry, reporting, and other tasks as needed.
