Collaborative Cellar Space to Rent – Bottelary Hills, Stellenbosch

Fort Simon Wine Estate, situated in the Bottelary Hills of Stellenbosch, offers independent winemakers and boutique producers the opportunity to lease production space in our fully equipped 842 m² bonded cellar.

The cellar is divided into 20% portions (± 40 tons grape capacity), allowing each winemaker to operate independently while sharing access to premium facilities and bonded-compliance administration.

Included

• Licensed bonded cellar (VMP / VM / VMS compliant)

• Production capacity of ± 40 tons grapes per portion

• Storage for up to 30 000 litres – in barrel, tank, or bottle (fermentation and maturation included)

• Dedicated office space for administration and meetings

• Access to labelling machine, tanks, press, and shared cellar infrastructure

• Optional grape supply from the estate vineyards

• Bonded-warehouse licence and liquor-compliance administration provided by Fort Simon

Rental Structure

• Structured as a monthly rental agreement

• Winemakers provide their own staff, or share the cost of staff with other winemakers using the facility

• Additional administrative charges apply for:

  • Handling and payment of excise duties to SARS on behalf of the winemaker

  • SAWIS administration and reporting

  • Preparation of export documentation and related compliance submissions
