We’re seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Accountant with hospitality or wine industry experience to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills, accuracy, and a passion for numbers.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with bank, petty cash, and supplier reconciliations
Support monthly journals, accruals, and prepayments
Maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts
Assist with income statement adjustments and general ledger reviews
Provide administrative support including filing, invoice processing, and reporting
Requirements:
Matric and relevant accounting qualification (or studying towards one)
1–2 years’ accounting or bookkeeping experience
Must have worked on a wine estate or in a hotel environment
Strong Excel and accounting system skills
Reliable, accurate, and eager to learn
Salary market related.
