Reports to Head of Sales

Job Purpose

The Private Clients Manager is responsible for cultivating meaningful relationships with private clients and wine club members, driving direct-to-consumer wine sales through personalised service, curated campaigns, and seamless fulfilment. This role blends sales, customer care, and luxury brand representation to deliver a premium, concierge-style experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow relationships with private clients, ensuring retention and increased sales in line with targets per private client and an increase in the private client database.
  • Deliver a personalised, high-touch experience across all client interactions, aligned with the brand’s lifestyle and service ethos.
  • Drive Waterford Wine Club/Loyalty operations, including member onboarding, communications, exclusive offers, and fulfilment.
  • Plan and execute direct-to-consumer campaigns in collaboration with marketing and logistics.
  • Process orders (manual & automated), coordinate payments, and coordinate timely deliveries.
  • Analyse sales data to identify growth opportunities and report on performance.
  • Collaborate with Head of Sales, marketing, and logistics teams to ensure a seamless client experience.
  • Represent the brand’s values and aesthetic in all communications and touchpoints.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong sales and relationship-building skills, with a customer-first mindset.
  • Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, online sales platforms, and logistics processes.
  • Excellent communication skills and a warm, calm, professional presence.
  • Passion for wine, hospitality, and luxury-driven service.

  • Growth in private client and wine club sales.
  • Retention and satisfaction of wine club members.
  • Campaign performance vs targets.
  • Order accuracy and fulfilment timelines.
  • Quality of client experience and feedback.
