Wine Lounge Hostess - 5* World Class Wine Estate - Stellenbosch

World Class 5* Wine Estate based in Stellenbosch is currently recruiting for a well-groomed Wine Lounge Hostess for a seasonal contract to amaze their patrons with excellent customer service. Successful candidate must be comfortable in dealing with very distinguished clientele.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome guests to the venue
• Escort guests to assigned dining or bar areas
• Manager reservations
• Provide menus and announce waiter/waitress name
• Greet guests upon their departure
• Coordinate with wait staff about available seating options
• Maintain hostess desk clean and tidy
• Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.g. children, elderly)
• Answer incoming calls and address guests’ queries
• Assist with wait staff as needed

Requirements:

• Grade 12, hospitality certificate will be a plus
• Preferably 1- 2 years previous hostess experience
• Understanding of restaurant etiquette
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations
• Experience in managing reservations
• Excellent communication skills (via phone and in-person)
• Good physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shift
• Comfortable in dealing with very distinguished clientele
• Able to handle high a pressure environment
• Must be well-presented
• Flexibility and Accountability
• Enthusiastic personality
