Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a talented Sous Chef to join a prestigious luxury restaurant in Franschhoek. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Key Requirements:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a fine dining or high-end restaurant environment
Strong leadership and team management skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Excellent knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation standards
Understanding of health, safety, and food hygiene regulations
Creative approach to menu planning and dish development
Strong organisational and time management abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Chef in managing all kitchen operations
Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff to ensure high standards are maintained
Prepare and cook dishes to the restaurant’s established quality and presentation standards
Support menu planning and contribute to creative dish development
Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant kitchen environment
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory control
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations
Assist in maintaining smooth workflow and coordination between kitchen and service staff
Salary: Negotiable DOE
