Front of House Manager

The FOH Manager at Rickety Bridge supports the Food and Beverage Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring a premium guest experience and smooth client experience and smooth execution of all restaurants – related activities. This role involves assisting with event coordination, maintaining food and beverage stock and displays, supervising restaurant staff when required, and upholding the highest standards of product knowledge and service excellence.

The FOH Manager plays a key role in representing the brand, promoting sales through knowledgeable recommendations, and ensuring that all restaurant activities, and events reflect the quality and reputation of the establishment.

Reports to: Food & Beverage Manager 
Type: Full-time, On-site

Key Responsibilities:

• Always ensure professional guest service and product presentation.
• Assist with record keeping, sales reporting and administrative tasks related to restaurant operations
• Collaborate with the Food and Beverage Manager and wider team to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Handle administrative duties, including cash-ups, reservations, and report.
• Oversee all front of house operations,
• Train, lead, and motivate a high-performing front of house team,
• Coordinate special, private events, and guest experiences,
• Ensure smooth daily service and resolve any guest concerns professionally,
• Work closely with the kitchen, cellar, and marketing teams to align events and promotions,
• Maintain inventory, service standards, and health & safety compliance.

Requirements:

• Grade 12/Matric
• Minimum 3 - 4 years’ experience in hospitality, restaurant management, or customer – facing roles
• Proficiency in Dineplan & Tablet POS and accounting/booking related systems.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant role within a hospitality or F&B environment.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a hands-on management approach.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
• Professional appearance and a guest-centric mindset.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve challenges efficiently.
• Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and shifts as required
• Own Reliable Transport
