Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and creative Head Chef to join a Luxury Guest Farm nestled in the heart of Franschhoek. This is an excellent opportunity for a culinary professional with a passion for crafting exceptional, seasonal dishes that reflect the region’s rich produce and farm-to-table philosophy. The position offers a salary of R40,000 – R50,000 per month, negotiable depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

Develop innovative menus that highlight local and sustainable ingredients.

Lead, train, and motivate the kitchen team to deliver outstanding culinary experiences.

Maintain strict hygiene, health, and safety standards within the kitchen.

Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships efficiently.

Collaborate with management to enhance the overall guest dining experience.

Ensure consistency in food preparation and service across all dining areas.
Requirements:

Formal culinary qualification from a recognised institution.

Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef within a luxury hospitality environment.

Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.

Excellent understanding of modern culinary techniques and plating styles.

Passion for sustainability, local produce, and innovation in cuisine.

Ability to work calmly and effectively in a high-pressure kitchen environment.
