My client, a contemporary, high-end dining establishment is seeking to employ a PASTRY Chef de Partie who is eager to contribute to an innovative pastry kitchen and showcase their skills in preparing beautifully crafted desserts, pastries and baked goods. This is an excellent opportunity to grow within a world-class team.

Purpose of the Role: Support the pastry section by preparing desserts, pastries and baked goods to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities Include but are not limited to

  • Preparing pastries, desserts and baked goods
  • Assisting with creative dessert execution and plating
  • Managing pastry mise-en-place and stock levels
  • Ensuring correct temperatures, timings and techniques
  • Maintaining high standards of sanitation in pastry section

Criteria

  • Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Relevant culinary certificate or diploma
  • Strong technical abilities and ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent attention to detail and consistency
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and professional kitchen standards
  • Willingness to learn, collaborate and maintain high kitchen standards 

Market related salary / flexible hospitality hours apply / this role is reserved for a Chef who reside in or within close proximity to Franschhoek
