Rueda Wine Co. (www.ruedawine.com) is looking for a dynamic, results-driven Sales Representative to grow our presence in Cape Town. If you have a passion for wine, a talent for sales, and the drive to exceed targets, we want you on our team!

Rueda Wine Co. imports and distributes an exceptional portfolio of wines from South Africa, France, Italy, Switzerland, and Spain. We supply both private clients and trade partners — from top restaurants and hotels to independent retailers and wine bars.

We are one of South Africa’s leading boutique distributors, focused on quality, authenticity, and outstanding service.

What You’ll Do

• Open new accounts and actively prospect cafés, wine bars, restaurants, and concept stores
• Grow our footprint across Cape Town’s boutique and emerging trade accounts
• Visit and service clients weekly, maintaining strong, long-term relationships
• Present wines confidently and conduct tastings for buyers, sommeliers, and owners
• Drive sales and help build visibility for our brands across the city
• Work closely with the team and CRM system to track performance and opportunities
• Process orders, follow up with clients, and provide excellent customer service
• Represent Rueda Wine Co. professionally at events, trade shows, and activations

What We’re Looking For

• A passion for wine - you enjoy learning and speaking about it
• Sales or hospitality experience (at least 1–2 years in wine, restaurants, or FMCG)
• WSET Level 2 (or the ability and willingness to complete it)
• People-first personality - confident, warm, articulate, relationship-driven
• Highly organised with strong follow-up and time management skills
• Self-motivated and proactive - someone who thrives in an independent role
• Comfortable with technology (CRM, Excel, email, smartphone apps)

Additional Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transport
• Willingness to travel daily
• Functioning smartphone and laptop
