Leipzig Country House & Winery—a well-established events venue, 21-bedroom guest house, and boutique winery—is looking for a vibrant, energetic, and highly organised Events Coordinator to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate conferences, corporate events, weddings, and private functions
- Assist the Accommodation Manager with reservations, guest check-ins, and check-outs
- Liaise with travel agencies, booking engines, and accommodation platforms
- Meet with potential clients, conduct venue viewings, and compile detailed quotations
- Supervise, train, and coordinate service staff during functions
- Oversee on-the-day operations for events and weddings
- Assist the General Manager with daily operational duties
- Manage invoicing and payments
- Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction and handle complaints professionally
- Assist with marketing activities, including social media management
Requirements
- Computer literate (MS Excel, MS Word, Canva)
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans (spoken and written)
- Well-presented with excellent communication skills
- Adaptable, flexible, and able to make decisions in uncertain situations
- Strong multitasking and time-management abilities
- Detail-oriented and customer-focused
- Passion for service excellence and the hospitality industry
- Hospitality qualification (advantageous)
- 2–5 years’ experience in the function/events sector within hospitality
- Strong administrative and organisational skills
- Creative mindset and a proactive attitude
- Team player with the ability to work under pressure
- Valid driver’s licence and own transport
- Willing to work long hours, weekends, and public holidays
- Live-in position – accommodation provided in a beautiful vineyard cottage
