Paserene Wine Farm is looking for an experienced, hands-on Hospitality & Tasting Room Manager to lead our tasting room and hospitality operations in Franschhoek.
This is a role suited to a dynamic individual with a passion for wine, people, and exceptional guest experiences, who is confident managing a team and driving standards in a luxury wine farm environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all tasting room operations
- Ensure consistently exceptional service for local and international guests
- Lead, manage, motivate, and train the hospitality team
- Assist in the kitchen when required and ensure smooth coordination between front and back of house
- Manage and grow the Paserene Wine Club
- Plan, cost, and execute events and special experiences
- Develop and implement new ideas to enhance guest experience and sales
- Handle stock management, stock control, reconciling, and costings
- Manage daily cash-ups, recons, and reporting
- Ensure health and safety compliance in both the kitchen and tasting room
- Uphold and represent the Paserene brand professionally at all times
- Assist with marketing initiatives and have input into promotional activities
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ tasting room management experience
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle (essential)
- Marketing experience (advantageous)
- Strong administrative, costing, and stock management skills
- Experience in planning and executing events
- Solid knowledge of health and safety regulations in a kitchen and tasting room environment
- Energetic, friendly, and professional with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work weekends, public holidays, and peak seasons
