Wine & Liquor Sales Rep wanted for the Garden Route

We are seeking a motivated and driven sales professional to take ownership of our Garden Route territory in a dynamic hybrid role. This position focuses on expanding market presence, strengthening customer relationships, and driving sustainable sales growth across both on and off consumption channels.

Role Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for actively representing our wine and liquor portfolio in the trade, developing new business opportunities, servicing existing accounts, and supporting effective product distribution to grow volume, visibility, and brand loyalty.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Source and convert new business opportunities through market analysis, prospecting, and leveraging the distributor’s customer network.

  • Structure and manage monthly call plans, routes, and service schedules in coordination with distributor sales teams, with a strong focus on the on-consumption market.

  • Conduct regular customer visits across on and off trade outlets, either independently or jointly with principals and re-distributor representatives.

  • Strengthen long-term customer partnerships by delivering product knowledge, portfolio presentations, and guidance on wine styles, food pairing, and serving recommendations.

  • Track and assess sales results by account, product segment, and SKU to identify performance patterns and growth opportunities.

  • Compile and deliver detailed feedback and performance reports on promotions, incentives, and sales outcomes, including actionable improvement suggestions.

  • Consistently meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectives.

  • Collaborate closely with on-trade warehouse buyers to ensure optimal stock availability and effective inventory management.

  • Provide practical input into resolving supply chain and distribution challenges to improve service delivery.

  • Build and maintain relationships with wine clubs, event organizers, and hospitality partners to enhance brand exposure.

  • Represent the portfolio at wine dinners, tastings, festivals, and promotional activations.

  • Organize and oversee in-store tasting initiatives to stimulate consumer engagement and sales growth.


Experience:
Minimum 2 years sales experience. Liquor trade experience would be advantageous

Requirements:
Own vehicle is a must

Basic + commission, cellphone & data allowance, business fuel, company tablet & laptop provided.
