We are a dynamic and growing wine farm seeking an experienced Sales & Tasting Room Manager to lead our tasting room operations and drive local, trade, and international sales.

This role is ideal for a motivated wine professional with strong leadership skills, commercial awareness, and a passion for representing premium wines in both domestic and global markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the tasting room, delivering exceptional guest experiences

  • Lead, train, and motivate tasting room staff to achieve sales and service targets

  • Drive direct-to-consumer sales through tastings, events, and on-site experiences

  • Develop and manage relationships with local and international trade clients, including distributors, agents, restaurants, and retailers

  • Manage international sales communication, orders, and follow-ups

  • Represent the brand professionally to visitors, trade partners, and at selected industry events

  • Monitor sales performance, stock levels, and reporting

  • Work closely with ownership and management to develop sales strategies and identify growth opportunities

Requirements

  • Proven experience in wine sales, hospitality management, or a related role

  • Strong knowledge of wine and the wine industry

  • Demonstrated experience selling to trade clients and managing international accounts

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with the ability to drive sales quickly and efficiently

  • Leadership experience with the ability to manage and inspire a team

  • Highly organized, target-driven, and customer-focused

  • Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle

  • Willingness to work weekends and peak tourism periods

  • International sales experience and additional languages are an advantage
