Tasting Room Assistant | Loxtonia | Ceres

Van Loveren Vineyards is seeking Tasting Room Assistants at our prestigious Tasting Room at Loxtonia, situated in Ceres, Western Cape.

The successful candidate must have a positive attitude, is energetic, passionate about the Cider and wine industry and have the professionality to work with clients and create exceptional experiences for our visitors.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Promote and upselling of ciders & wines and merchandise to customers;
• Hosting, preparing and presenting the tastings to clients;
• Arrange and execution of events and special functions in the Tasting Room;
• Responsible for daily cash ups and reporting;
• Responsible for Cider & Wine sales invoicing;
• Responsible for responding to emails, bookings and telephone queries;
• Assisting with local advertising of Tasting room through Tourism offices, businesses and guesthouses;
• Responsible for stock taking and all related reporting to Finance;
• Staff coordination and scheduling;
• General admin duties in the Tasting Room;
• General cleaning of Tasting room and amenities.

 Minimum Qualifications and Skills requirements:

• Grade 12 qualification;
• Formal relevant tertiary qualification related to the position will be advantageous;
• Must be able to speak Afrikaans and English;
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position and in the hospitality industry;
• Ability to work extra hours, including weekends and public holidays;
• Excellent communication & Interpersonal skills – with guests, management, and colleagues;
• Willing to work after hours and weekends;
• Well-presented, Reliable and dependable;
• Passionate about the hospitality industry, professional and client orientated;
• Effective and dedicated team player
