EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience within the FMCG Procurement environment.
  • Minimum Grade 12 qualification
  • South African citizen or valid work permit
  • Valid Code 08 Driver's License
  • Police Clearance

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Ability to delegate tasks and manage processes.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office – Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of warehousing and stock control.
  • Excellent communication skills and reporting expertise.
  • Time management and the ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Problem-solving ability and attention to detail
  • Planning and organising skills
  • Applying good business judgement and understand the broader business issues.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • The assist in the purchasing function for the branch
  • Analysis and controlling of stock reports
  • Stock control
  • Stock count and Cycle counts, stock rotation, ordering of stock, receiving of stock, stock distribution
  • Logistics- planning, routing of In-bound stock
  • Supplier liaison
  • Streamline supplier interface by creating internal structures to support sale of service
  • Streamline the new product introduction process.
  • Ensure that all the correct paperwork is completed, and that processes are followed
  • Ensuring relationships with suppliers, connecting with key business stakeholders and preparing related reports to Branch Manager
  • Placing orders with Suppliers
  • Costing of products, and calculating inbound freight and storage charges
  • Assisting with Supplier Queries
  • Processing of Supplier Claims and Returns
  • Filing

DUTIES WILL ALSO INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Enhance a customer focused culture within the company.
  • Continuous liaison to ensure current product and delivery requirements are met.
  • Maintain industry acceptable service level expectations.
  • Control and maintain effective reporting structures for management and the logistics team
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement.
  • Processing Final Goods Receipt Notes and Purchase Invoices

Due to the nature, size, structure and operational requirements of the company, the employee shall be expected to perform general and other duties from time to time, which might not be specifically mentioned herein, although such duties shall be relative to the nature of the business.
