I’m a 45-year-old male, married with dependants that reside in Paarl. I have experience in the hospitality industry and currently for 8 years Total years’ experience +/-15 years) in the wine industry – in the Tasting room department in a managerial capacity. I believe, I’ll be an asset to your establishment and make a positive contribution. I have gained practical work experience by working in numerous outlets of the service and events industry. Previous exposure includes accommodation establishments, restaurants, and wine farms. I am currently working as tasting room manager at a well-known wine cellar in Paarl. Prior to that I was working as a Restaurant and Venue manager at small wine estate.
I’ll describe myself as a dedicated, hardworking individual who values professionalism and kindness. I have a profound ability so solve problems effectively with a proficient level of communication skills. I am a firm believer in the adage “failing to plan, is planning to fail”, especially true in the events sector thus multi-tasking is essential. I enjoy a good challenge and am a fast learner. I can easily adapt to changing environments and different personalities. I would say that I am a confident, resourceful, and resilient person, who is able to perform under pressure. I have a positive outlook on life, being naturally enthusiastic and optimistic. Another personality trait is having a tendency towards perfection and paying attention to detail.
