A vacancy exists for an experienced, vibrant, energetic Bartender/Mixologist to join the Blame Lilly team.  The successful candidate will report directly to the Restaurant Manager.

Key Performance Areas and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain a well-stocked bar, including all ingredients to prepare signature drinks and standard drinks.
  • Preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
  • Setting up bar stations with supplies such as glasses, mixers, bottle of liquors ect.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized bar area to ensure a safe environment for customers.
  • Consult customers on their drinks order to ensure they are served accurately and efficiently.
  • Create cocktails using fresh ingredients.
  • Mixing of ingredients as per recipes.
  • Maintain accurate records and accounts.
  • Responsibly using resources and controlling expenses within budgeted parameters.
  • Stay customer focused and nurture an excellent customer experience.
  • Comply with food and beverage regulations and brand standards.
  • Adherence to organizational policies and procedures.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Matric
  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as a bartender/mixologist
  • Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks.
  • Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport are essential.

Selection requirements for the position:

  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to keep the bar neat and stocked.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and take charge.
  • High attention to detail and process driven.
  • Quick thinking and a team player.
  • Stable and solid track record.
  • Must be willing to work on weekends and Public Holidays as per roster.
  • Preference will be given to candidates residing in the area.
  • Physical: Applicant must be able to stand for extended periods of time
