Our Client is a highly respected organisation servicing the wine industry in South Arica.
They have an outstanding opportunity for a Brand & Communication Manager with a passion for the South African wine industry. You will be responsible for the integrated communication and brand strategy across international markets to ensures consistent, high-quality messaging that builds reputation, supports organisational objectives, and enhances the effectiveness of their marketing, industry, and stakeholder programmes. In addition you will ensure strategic stakeholder engagement, media relationship management, and advisory input into key initiatives, events, and guest programmes that advance their objectives and industry positioning.
The positon encompasses the following:
- Communication Strategy
- Annual Communication Planning and Execution
- Measurement and Evaluation
- External Communications and Brand Reputation
- Stakeholder and Media Relationship Management
- Guest Relations Oversight
- Presentations and Industry Promotion
- Project Management
- Managerial and People Management Responsibilities
To qualify for this role you will need:
- Degree in Marketing, Communication, Corporate Communication, BA or BCom with a communication focus
- Cape Wine Academy Certificate or WSET qualification
- Formal wine training
- Integrated communications, digital strategy and content development
- Analytics and measurement
- Minimum of five years’ relevant experience at mid-management level in a similar role
- In-depth wine industry knowledge
- Knowledge of international markets and wine industry stakeholders
- Proven experience in developing and executing communication strategies and integrated communication plans
- Experience in marketing campaign and collateral development
- Experience managing agencies, budgets, and stakeholders
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, both English and Afrikaans
- Presentation and facilitation skills
- Understanding of communication channels including PR, digital, and social media
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Computer literacy (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Valid passport and driver’s licence
