Historic Wines of the Cape, situated in the Franschhoek Valley, requires a dynamic individual with a strong accounting background to join our finance team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following
- Execution of all accounting reconciliations for multiple entities
- Debtors and Creditors team Management
- Management of the month-end process, including to prepare and review the monthly financial management reports
- Reviewing creditors, cash-book and petty cash
- Preparation and maintenance of the fixed asset registry
- Management of fixed assets and capital expenditure
- Compilation of financial year-end schedules
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
- Other ad hoc administrative and financial duties
The following criteria apply
- An appropriate tertiary qualification eg. B.Com (Accounting)
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of IFRS for SME and South African tax legislation
- Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience (e.g. Business Central)
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Strong work discipline with the ability to cope under pressure
- Computer literacy above average
- Experience in the wine industry will be advantageous, but is not a requirement
