Sample, Quality, Tasting Processes
Blending of new wines for new products / contracts in collaboration with the sales team. If required, working with clients and the market directly.
Preparation of all samples for tastings, wine shows, new business, new vintage approval on current business, 3rd party sample / style approval and analysis approval.
Ensures wine samples sent for bulk or bottle approval are according to required specifications.
Responsible together with Winemaker & Production Manager in signing off the sensorial quality off all bulk wine and bottle products prior to loading / filling and post-production sensorial quality monitoring.
Prepare & enter submissions for prominent wine competitions and proper record keeping of all entries and accolades received.
Requesting, timeously booking in, tasting and evaluating of producer stock 1 x monthly (services) and 3 x monthly (contracted).
Organising, managing and data capturing of internal comparative tastings, production tastings and allocation tastings.
Tasting and evaluating all retention samples (after 12months)
Quality Management Systems
Adheres to QMS standards and procedures
Follows QMS protocol as described by QMS procedures
Adheres to the set GMP protocol
Participates in various quality seminars
STRONG Administration skills
