Our client is an established construction and development business operating across the Helderberg area in the Western Cape. They are seeking an experienced and reliable TLB & Staff Driver to join their growing team on various project sites.
Position Overview
Position: TLB & Staff Driver
Location: Helderberg Area, Western Cape
Working Hours: Standard 45 hours per week (shift schedule)
Reports To: Project Supervisor
Minimum Requirements
- Valid TLB Heavy Load Truck License (Code EC or equivalent)
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP) in terms of the National Road Traffic Act 93 of 1996
- 5 to 10 years’ experience in operating heavy machinery, including TLB equipment
- Must reside within the Helderberg area
- Own reliable transportation to and from work
- Competency assessment will be conducted at the final interview stage
- Knowledge of and compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), Act 85 of 1993, as it pertains to the operation of heavy load machinery
- Understanding of the Machinery and Occupational Safety Regulations applicable to construction sites
- Compliance with the Driven Machinery Regulations under the OHSA
- Familiarity with the Construction Regulations, 2014 (Government Notice R. 84) regarding safe operation of plant and machinery on construction sites

Regulatory Compliance
The successful candidate must comply with all relevant South African legislation governing the operation of heavy load machinery and construction site safety, including but not limited to the Occupational Health and Safety Act (Act 85 of 1993), the National Road Traffic Act (Act 93 of 1996), the Construction Regulations 2014, and the Driven Machinery Regulations. A valid medical fitness certificate may be required as per OHSA requirements for operators of heavy machinery.
