Casual Tasting Room Wine Ambassadors

Vriesenhof Vineyards is seeking enthusiastic and professional Stellenbosch-based students to join our team as Casual Wine Ambassadors in our tasting room.

This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about wine, hospitality, and delivering exceptional guest experiences in a premium wine estate environment.

Working Hours

• Out of season: Saturdays and Sundays (day shifts)

• In season: Monday to Sunday (day shifts)

• Additional opportunities: Off-site events and wine festivals may be required

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing and setting up the tasting room

• Stock counts, stock maintenance, and glass polishing

• Cleaning and maintaining tasting room standards

• Hosting wine tastings and engaging with guests

• Delivering high-quality, personalised customer service

• Sharing the history of the farm and interesting wine-related facts

• Hosting individuals and groups

• Driving wine sales and operating point-of-sale systems

Candidate Requirements

Successful applicants should be:

• High-energy, passionate, and enthusiastic

• Well-presented, well-spoken, and charismatic

• Sales-driven with strong customer engagement skills

• Proactive, observant, and able to take initiative

• Quick-thinking with good problem-solving ability

• Excellent at time management and multitasking

• Attentive to body language and social cues

• Available year-round, especially November to February
