Role Purpose

We’re looking for a motivated Junior Deli Supervisor to oversee daily deli operations, ensure smooth store opening, closing, and deliver excellent customer service. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to grow in hospitality and retail management.

Core Responsibilities

• Manage opening of store and afternoon store close and operational handover.
• Supervise staff performance and productivity (approx. 3 staff).
• Administer timesheets and ensure roster accuracy.
• Coordinate and fulfil client orders.
• Maintain health and safety standards.
• Build strong customer relationships and maintain service quality.

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years’ experience in retail, hospitality, or food service supervision
• Confident with technology — MS Office, Google Suite, and ordering systems.
• Professional, well-presented, and approachable.
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Afrikaans.
• Strong organizational and team management abilities.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and customer-focused.
• Flexible to work afternoons, public holidays and Saturdays.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to grow alongside the team.
• South African citizenship.
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle.
• Clear criminal record.
