A well-established wine estate is seeking an experienced Tasting Room Manager to lead the tasting room team and deliver exceptional guest experiences. The successful candidate will be passionate about wine, hospitality, and sales, and able to represent the estate’s brand professionally.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily tasting room operations and guest experiences
- Lead, train, and supervise tasting room staff
- Conduct professional wine tastings and wine education for visitors
- Drive wine sales, wine club memberships, and brand engagement
- Manage reservations, group tastings, and private events
- Oversee stock control, POS systems, and daily sales reporting
- Maintain excellent customer service and brand standards
Minimum Requirements
- WSET Level 2 Award in Wines (essential)
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a tasting room or wine hospitality environment
- Previous supervisory or management experience
- Excellent wine knowledge and communication skills
- Strong sales ability and customer service focus
- Ability to work weekends and public holidays
- Valid driver’s licence (advantageous)
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of South African wines and the Stellenbosch region
- Experience with wine tourism and international guests
- Event coordination and team leadership
