Food and Beverage Ambassador

We are looking for a young, energetic new member to join our dynamic front of house staff at Lynx Collection (www.lynx-collection.com)

Inherent Requirements:

• At least 3-5 years of experience in the wine or hospitality
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Degree or equivalent in Hospitality Management
• Background in Restaurant would be advantageous
• Covid-19 vaccination mandatory
• Fluent in English

Experience and skills:

• The ability to remain calm and professional when under pressure
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Must be professional and a team player
• Sustainable quality and attention to detail
• Strong knowledge of wine and winemaking processes
• Excellent customer service skills and a strong commitment to hospitality
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Service of food and beverages in dining areas, breakfast room, pool and all outdoor service areas.
• Greeting guests warmly and offering welcome drinks on arrival.
• Ensure all Waiter duties are carried out according to daily checklists and duties assigned.
• Ensure dining areas are clean and tidy during shifts and before leaving your shift.
• Understand and communicate the daily menu, have up to date knowledge of the menu and wine lists.
• Performing each duty as per the company’s standard operating procedures.
• Preparation and service of all beverages.
• Ensure all orders are passed on to the kitchen as quickly as possible.
• Ensure that all food sent from the kitchen is up to standard and as requested.
• Keep up to date with industry trends and suggest areas for continuous improvement.
• Assist with all service, set ups and breakdowns of functions and returning of service providers’ stock.
• Presenting wine tastings, receiving guests & maintaining client relations
• Assisting with events, exhibitions and shows when needed
• Stock Management
• Ensure that the tasting room is clean, well-organised, and properly stocked at all times
• Ensure tasting room policies and procedures are adhered to
• Maintain inventory records
• Provide exceptional customer service to guests
