A Wine Estate in the Franschhoek area seeks to employ a Junior Horticulturist. We are looking for an honest, hardworking and reliable candidate to be appointed in the above mentioned position.
Duties Include:
- Provide assistance with general garden maintenance and activities
- Assist with various garden projects
- Assist management with the production of :
- honey
- olives
- fruit
- vegetables
- herbs
- cut flowers
- nursery
- composting and waste
- Regular inspections on garden equipment
- Assist in the daily management of garden employees
Requirements:
- Fluent in both English and Afrikaans
- Computer literate ( specifically MS Office)
- Must have own transport
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- Good organisation skills
- Excellent leadership skills
- Tertiary qualification - Diploma in Horticulture
- 3 years’ experience in a similar role
Salary: Market related
Start date: May 2026
