Wine Merchant | Independent Contractor

We are looking for a motivated and goal-driven individual to join our growing online wine sales team as an independent contractor, based in the Western Cape. This opportunity offers the flexibility to work from home, manage your own schedule, and build your success in a performance-driven environment. 

Responsibilities:

• Proactively contact potential and existing customers via phone to promote and sell a range of wines;
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular engagement and excellent service;
• Identify customer needs and recommend suitable wines based on preferences and occasions;
• Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets and performance metrics;
• Accurately capture customer information, orders, and feedback using internal systems;
• Follow up on leads, inquiries, and previous customers to generate repeat business;
• Stay up to date with product knowledge, promotions, and wine industry trends;
• Handle objections professionally and confidently close sales;
• Deliver a high standard of customer experience aligned with the brand;
• Work independently while maintaining consistent communication with the team or manager;

 Minimum Requirements:

• The contractor must have their own reliable internet connection, laptop, and headphones/headset;
• The contractor will work independently and manage their own working hours;
• Wine knowledge is essential;
• Excellent communication skills in both English and Afrikaans;
• Computer literacy is required;
• We are seeking a focused, self-driven, and passionate individual with a love for sales;

 Training:

• The contractor must be available to attend a one-day training session;
• Training will take place at one of the Company’s Facilities, either Stellenbosch, Robertson / Paarl;
• Travel arrangements and costs to and from the training venue will be for the candidate’s own account
