Simonsig Wines seeks to appoint a hands-on and experienced Vineyard Supervisor to join our team to be based in Stellenbosch.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about viticulture and who enjoys working outdoors and leading a team to deliver high-quality vineyard operations.
The successful candidate will report to the Vineyard Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and execute daily vineyard activities, including pruning, irrigation, spraying, and harvesting
- Supervise and lead vineyard workers, ensuring productivity and quality standards
- Monitor vine health and report any issues
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Assist with the implementation of vineyard plans alongside the Farm Manager and Vineyard Manager
Requirements:
- Minimum 3–5 years’ vineyard experience
- Minimum 3 years supervisory experience essential
- Good knowledge of vineyard practices
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English
- Valid driver’s license
- Clear criminal record
