Waterford Estate, a leading premium wine estate in Stellenbosch, is seeking a Digital & Design Marketing Coordinator to join our marketing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a digitally fluent, design-savvy individual to contribute to brand-building and grow within a structured, brand-led environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop marketing assets across digital and print channels, including promotional materials for publications, events, promotions, and sales initiatives.
  • Design packaging, wine labels, and estate collateral such as tasting room menus, tasting notes, and brochures.
  • Prepare pre-campaign, live campaign, and post-campaign review decks, including digital campaign visuals.
  • Create social media content, manage the social media calendar, write content, and execute campaigns.
  • Write scripts and coordinate photo and video shoots.
  • Maintain and regularly update the website.
  • Work with the web developer and external app support teams to oversee integrations, implementations, and maintenance across the estate’s technical ecosystem, including POS, e-commerce, wine club, CMS, and CRM.
  • Manage CRM systems and execute targeted email campaigns for Marketing and DTC.
  • Support press relations and media communications.
  • Maintain the brand CI and support the development and implementation of brand and operational guidelines to ensure alignment with the Quiet Luxury positioning across departments.
  • Assist with campaign performance analysis and ROI reporting.
  • Assist with writing blog content, press releases, and email marketing communications.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Preferably a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
  • A strong foundation in marketing principles, consumer behaviour, branding, and communication strategy is highly valued.
  • Professional certificates or diplomas in digital marketing, advertising, CRM, or content creation (e.g., Advanced Diploma in Digital Marketing, National Certificate in Advertising & Digital Marketing, Google/Meta/CRM certifications) will strengthen the application.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) with a strong understanding of design principles and print production requirements.
  • Comfortable working with digital design tools (e.g. Canva); video editing skills are advantageous (e.g. Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve).
  • Experience with social media platforms and content scheduling.
  • Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation tools, targeted email campaigns, and basic analytics reporting.
  • Understanding of website CMS maintenance (preferably in Webflow) and technical ecosystem integrations (POS, e-commerce, CRM tools).
  • Strong creative sensibility with a keen eye for design, typography, layout, and visual branding.
  • Excellent copywriting skills for content creation, press communications, and storytelling, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience or exposure to campaign planning, performance analysis, and ROI measurement.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, take initiative, and work collaboratively across teams.
  • Strong organisational, prioritisation, and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience with paid media campaigns (Meta & Google) and GA4 is a plus.
  • Experience in premium and lifestyle brand marketing, understanding of brand positioning and tone.
